DOCUMENTARIES

At Pixelated Ideas, documentaries are at the heart of everything we do. It’s where we got our start, and it’s still what we love most. We believe in the power of real stories—whether they’re told through sticker art, sound waves, fishing legends, or cultural revolutions. Our team approaches each project with curiosity, respect, and a deep commitment to truth and creativity. Our very first documentary, a feature on John Mellencamp created in grad school, won a regional Emmy and was picked up by Netflix—back when DVDs were still delivered to your door. Since then, we’ve traveled the world, worked with over 100 artists, and continued to push boundaries in nonfiction storytelling.
